EN: Our first dive in Alcala, Tenerife with Riaansscuba. Ocean couldn't be more grateful to us. We had perfect conditions, visibility was great and we were stoned by the richness of the marine life.
EN: It’s foggy Saturday morning – after many non flyable weekends finally good weather forecast, so we are heading to Ben Bulben, county Sligo’s unique table mountain. Once you see that beauty from the top you never get enough.
EN: The morning sky is looking promissingly but the weather forecast is less positive - the rain and wind will be coming soon from the Atlantic so we better hurry up.
EN: Despite not great weather forecast we are heading to Ben Bulben to its NW ridge. The wind is very weak today but there are some thermal bubbles coming from time to time. Lubor gives it a shot and after some scratching he manages to get above the ridge.
Abbey Hill, na ktorom má vietor silu až 45km/hod opúšťame a smerujeme k Fanore Beach vyhlásenej surferskej oblasti. O 17:30 je vietor na pláži výrazne slabší, takže pôvodný plán soaring na dune meníme vyrazíme na hrebeň Slieve Elva. Vietor takmer ideálny a lietať sa dá celý hrebeň dokonca aj s preskokom na susedný svah. Mesačná krajina pri západe slnka vyzerá ako z filmu Apollo13.
Po ďalších troch zimných mesiacoch, keď počasie nepraje prichádza takmer jarné počasie v celom Írsku, juh a východ je termický, západ skôr veterný. Vydávame sa spoznávať nové miesta na západe Írska spolu s tandem pilotom Jacekom (Paragliding West). Pôvodný plán lietanie v národnom parku Burren na polceste meníme a smerujeme do Maumturk Mountains, no na pristávačke pod kopcom fúka celkom slušne.
